The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission said it could cause eye injuries due to contact with the glue in the kit.
There are approximately 1,356 units assigned to the Republic of Ireland.
The CCPC said: âIf you believe you own any of these products, you should stop using it immediately and return the product to your local Dunnes Stores store for a full refund.
“Customers can also contact Dunnes Stores customer service with any questions at [email protected].”
This is because a pokemon plush toy, sold to customers in Ireland, had an emergency recall due to a choking and suffocation hazard.
The risk is due to small detachable parts in waterproof plastic packaging with an average thickness of less than 0.038 mm.
The plush, ‘Mr Mime’, was sold online through the Aliexpress platform and may have been purchased by Irish customers.
Make, type / model number, lot number and barcode are unknown.
The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission said: “There is a risk of suffocation due to small detachable parts and a risk of suffocation due to waterproof plastic packaging with an average thickness of less than 0.038 mm. “
CAUTION FOR PARENTS
Anyone who purchased the product is urged to stop using it immediately, throw the toy away and keep it out of the reach of children.
The CCPC advised: “You can contact the online store where you purchased this product to see if there are any remedies available to you. This can be done through your user account on the relevant platform.”
