Jennifer Lopez is known for her hyper glam beauty looks, but it looks like the star is keen to go back to her roots. In a recent Instagram post on her cosmetics page, JLO Beauty, the singer showcased a significantly less elevated look, as she appears to have ditched her extensions in favor of her natural locks.

The Get right the singer’s hair was styled in loose curls, with her honey blonde locks falling just above her shoulders. While Lopez is known for changing up her hairstyles, her glamorous aesthetic is usually synonymous with OTT hair extensions.

Some of her greatest beauty moments – think this The Super Bowl mid-rise ponytail or waist-to-waist locks she sported at the 2011 Grammy Awards – were graciously provided by very full-bodied locks of hair, effectively creating a mark of recognizable glamor that only Lopez can. to achieve.

While we love her signature look, it’s refreshing to see the star take a break from Rapunzel’s lengths to kiss her natural hair, which is chunky, full, and healthy on its own. Perhaps this new change was inspired by her rekindled romance with Ben Affleck, who saw the scammers star experiences a more relaxed aesthetic while on vacation.

It could also be a symptom of her recent abandonment of any connection to her ex, Alex Rodriguez. Lopez stopped following her former beau on social media and subsequently deleted all of the two’s posts together from her Instagram. So maybe this new hair change is just another signal that the star is ready to shed her old baggage and start over.

Either way, that’s what we’re here for.
