Katie Price ditches hair extensions for short bob before community service

KATIE Price has ditched her hair extensions for a short bob as she prepares to undertake community service.

Katie, 43, will have to help with a variety of tasks including sorting and washing second-hand clothes at a charity shop and attending social groups for the elderly as part of her drunk driving sentence.

Marking the change from her usual full head of extensions, the reality star gloated as she admitted she was getting used to the cropped look.

Sharing a photo on Instagram, she wrote, “I haven’t had my extensions in a few months now and I really love my new short hair and of course @fern_makeup is doing makeup ❤️😆😂.”

Encouraging her to stick with the new look, one fan wrote, “Love this length. Much more current and cool. Makes your eyes pop too. Fabulous xxx.”

Another added, “You look beautiful, I love your hair so long 😊😊.”

While a third commented: “You look so much more glamorous with your natural hair 🙌.”

Katie is required to complete 100 hours of community service over six weeks and is expected to start this week.

She will be required to wear a high-visibility jacket while on site and will be prohibited from using her phone or posting on social media while working.

She also has to deal with additional tasks such as cleaning vacant lots, cleaning graffiti from walls and chewing gum from public roads, and decorating a local community center.

But The Sun has learned that her team argues the physical tasks would put too much pressure on Katie’s feet, which she shattered when falling over a wall in Turkey in August 2020.

Sources also say Katie is hoping to delay the start date so she can go on holiday with her fiancé Carl Woods. Katie’s team did not respond to a request for comment from The Sun.

In December, Katie was sentenced to a 16-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months, a two-year driving ban, 100 hours of unpaid work, 20 sessions of rehabilitation work with probation and was ordered to pay £213.

The court heard she already owed £7,358 in relation to previous offences.

Katie admitted to driving drunk, driving without insurance and driving with a ban after her car flipped over in West Sussex on September 28.
